About Dr. Betty B. Bostani

Dr. Bostani is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, specializing in the
diagnoses and assessments of children on the Autism spectrum.  Her
background consists of extensive training at the two most world-renowned
providers of early behavioral intervention for Autism; the Lovaas Institute
and the Center for Autism and Related Disorders.  Dr. Bostani has over
ten years of experience in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders, and
over
nine years of experience in assessments and diagnostic evaluations.

Dr. Bostani's dedication to the field of Autism began while she was an
undergraduate student at the University of California, Los Angeles
(UCLA).  She studied under the direct guidance of Dr. Ivar Lovaas, a
pioneer in the research and development of early behavioral intervention, and
the first to discover with empirical evidence that typical functioning can be
achieved with consistent and individualized ABA (Applied Behavioral
Analysis) programming.  The tremendous and remarkable progress that Dr.
Bostani observed in the children with whom she worked changed her life.
There was no question that this would be the most rewarding field for her.

With extensive training at the UCLA Clinic for the Behavioral Treatment
of Children, Dr. Bostani became a Teaching Assistant for the coursework
and fieldwork at UCLA, in addition to providing treatment to children.   Dr.
Bostani supervised individualized programs and provided workshop training
and consultations nationally at the Lovaas Institute.  She received
additional extensive training in assessments and diagnoses in her graduate
education, while earning her Master's and Doctorate Degrees and
conducted these as the Institute Assessor at the Lovaas Institute, and later
at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders (CARD), under the
supervision of the Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Doreen
Granpeesheh.  Data gathered from Dr. Bostani's assessments were also
utilized in clinical research at both service providers.  While at CARD, Dr.
Bostani also received additional training in the advancements in ABA
programming and curriculum, developed to address the more abstract and
complex areas of skill deficit that exist in the various levels of functioning of
children on the Autism Spectrum.

It is the collaboration of expertise in assessment and ABA programming
that allows Dr. Bostani to provide services in the most comprehensive and
individualized manner.
